Collaboration

The Knowledge Economy Requires Critical Mass

CIP is fundamentally a platform for collaboration among industry, academia, and public actors to develop new policies, strategies, capabilities, and tools to transform knowledge into wealth and welfare. It is through the strength of these collaborations that new ideas are born and progress is made in the sustainable development of the knowledge economy. Below are the different means of collaboration facilitated by CIP:

CIP Advisory Board

CIP's advisory board consists of a Global Council and a Nordic Council of international and regional IP leaders, respectively, with the goal of steering CIP activities towards to most relevant issues and greatest impact on both the global and Nordic level.

CIP FORUM

The CIP FORUM is our flagship event where CIP Partners and invited guests gather biennially to address the key industry, university, and policy challenges of the transformation to a knowledge economy. The event has been held on seven occasions since 2001 with the latest event in September 25-27, 2016 in Göteborg, Sweden.

CIP Executive Education

The Business of Intellectual Property (BIP) is the core executive education program developed by CIP and delivered for over ten years through collaboration partners in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. Advanced courses in specific topic are developed in collaboration with CIP Partners.

CIP Industrial Faculty

The CIP Industry Faculty is a core group of executives and professionals that play a key role in the development and delivery of expert content in CIP graduate courses and executive programs.

CIP Internship Program

Each year, students from CIP supported graduate programs participate in over 40 internships during the spring and summer at organizations all over the world including MNCs, technology start-ups, university TTOs, consultancy firms, and NGOs.

CIP Academic Partners

CIP looks to build strong relations with partner universities both in the Nordic region and internationally. Currently CIP partner universities include University of Gothenburg, Chalmers University of Technology, NTNU, Uppsala University, Zhejiang University, and Tsinghua University.
